It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harry Day of Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Merrill and Gladys Adele Day (Braun). He is survived by: his wife Joan M. Drake; his children, Sharon Fielder (Randy), Jan Passmore (Jeff), Phil Day, Brian Day (Joan), Brenda Ortega (John) and James E. Day (Esther); and his sister Corinne Duggan (Russ). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Jim's honor to Gentiva Hospice, Cascades Humane Society, Disability Connections of Jackson, or Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
