It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Leon Smiley Jr. of Jackson, Michigan, born in Boone, Iowa, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Leon Smiley Sr. and Judith Ann Smiley (Beaudoin); and his nephew Seth Kofflin. He is survived by: his wife Julie Smiley (Koker); his children, Devan Post (Derek), Drew Smiley (Alicia) and Devin Lewe (Smiley); his grandchildren, Aidan, Maddox, Caelum, Maylin, Stephania, Harper and Frankie; his sisters, Mary Wiinamaki (Kurt) and Vicke Kofflin (Michael); his sister-in-law Teresa Jones (Koker); his father-in-law Gerald Koker (Bettsey Spink); and his close friends, Glenna and Ray Cavanaugh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
