It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of JoAnn Smith of Jackson, Michigan, born in Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Ethel; her husband Dennis Errol Smith; her grandson Eric Helm; and her brothers, Ed and Dean Curtis.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Helm (Bob) and Steve Smith (Tracy); her grandsons, Alan Smith, Nathan Helm and Jacob Helm; her siblings, Ann Steinbrenner (Ken) and Thomas Curtis (Marilyn); her sister-in-law Mary Curtis; and her nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Lisa, Tracy and Brian. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
