John Dawson Obituary

The world bids farewell to John Dawson of Jackson, Michigan, born in Gary, Indiana, departing on October 16, 2025 at the age of 73. John leaves behind memories cherished by the community. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Dawson and Dolores Dawson; and his siblings-in-law, Shelby Graetz and Frank Cerequeira. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his daughters, Vanessa Bechler (Steve) and Valerie Hall (David); his grandchildren, Christian Bechler (Adriane), Alex Bechler, Leah Martin (Darin) and Lindsey Hall; his great grandchildren, Leo, Nolan and Luca; and his siblings, Diane Cerqueira, Tom Graetz, Gary Graetz (Carolyn) and Larry Graetz (Teresa). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home (204 N Blackstone St, Jackson, MI 49201). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in JD's memory to Cascades Humane Society.
