She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Risner and Roxie Risner (Hackworth); her husband Kenneth R. Brown; her son Kim Douglas Brown; and her sisters, Vinetta Hackworth, Roberta Owens, Rubena Risner and Doris Jean Owens.

She is survived by: her children, Gregory Brown (Janette) of Rives Junction, MI and Sherri McCarrell (Barry) of Parma, MI; her grandchildren, Crystal Brown, Gregory J. Brown (Cherilyn), David Brown (Courtney), Dr. Kelli Virgin (Zachary), Adam McCarrell (Denver), Lynsi McCarrell (Karlo Franco) and Ashli McCarrell (Brendan Bectel); her great grandchildren, Kelsey, Kassidy Murray, Madison, McKenzie, Adeline Brown, Silas and Sydni Virgin; and her sisters, Loretta Miller of Hillsdale and Maxine Yeager of Homer.
