Katherine (Nemenz) Steck Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine (Nemenz) Steck (Jackson, Michigan), who passed away on August 8, 2022 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Albert C. Steck; her parents, Andreas Nemenz and Rosa Nemenz (Kloos); and her siblings, Rose Olson (Harry), Andrew Nemenz (Pauline), Henry Nemenz (Leah), Albert Nemenz (Florence), Betty Horvath (Dave), John and George Nemenz.

She is survived by: her children, Dorothea Henry (Bill) and Albert Steck (Vickie); and her grandchildren, Sarah Henry, Helene Ivie (Brandon), Andrew Steck (Becky) and Katherine Melland (Chris). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

Her faith was her strength, and she remained an active and devoted parishioner of St. John's UCC even through the pandemic and as her changing mobility made it difficult to leave her apartment, attending Sunday services over the phone and through Zoom.
