He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Bowman and Frances Bowman (Russell); his wife Elsie Bowman; his son Donald Bowman; and his siblings, Harriet "Hattie" Decker (Bowman), Joanne Fall (Amburgey) and Daniel Amburgey.
He is survived by: his children, David Bowman (Aoy), Deborah McGee (Bowman), Dennis Bowman, Lisa (Brian), Cornell (Bowman), Wendy (August) and Hein (Bowman); his stepchildren, Sandra Bolenbaugh (Paul) and Gary Frye (Lyndia); and his sister Judy Bradley (Amburgey). He is also survived by many grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
