She was predeceased by: her father Lester W.; her husband Sturgell C. "Spud"; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Samson; and her stepson Larry (Beverly Williams). She is survived by: her mother Arlene L.; her sons, John Williams of Fowlerville and David Samson; her grandchildren, Aaron Samson (Confetti), Holliday Darling (Brent) and Lauren Phelps (James); her great grandchildren, Alexander, Athena, Sophia Samson, Wilma Darling, Julia and Melanie Phelps; her stepgrandchildren, Larry "Chip", James and Becky Williams; and her siblings, Edna Kolchensky and William Holliday. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Contributions in her memory are directed to the Calvary United Methodist Church or the Jackson Interfaith Shelter.
