She is survived by: her children, Janis Appel of Olympia, WA, John Appel (Susan) of Bend, OR, Margaret DeVries (Michael) of Metamora, MI, Walter Appel of Lewiston, CA and Mark Appel (Christy) of Springport, MI. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
