With sadness, we share the passing of Maxine Joan Gardner of Jackson, Michigan. Maxine, born on February 24, 1932, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Hill and Ruth Hill; her husband James Gardner; and her sisters, Dolores Sharp and Betty Losey.
She is survived by: her son Michael Gardner (Mary Jane); her granddaughter Stephanie Wright (David); her great grandchildren, Laurence and Arthur Wright; her grandson Jordan Gardner; her great grandchildren, Jamie and Emma; Kristina Gardner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hampton Funeral Home (4204 Ann Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49202). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory: Disabled Veterans or Hospice of Hillsdale.
