He was predeceased by: his father Donald J. Ratcliff; and his siblings, Daniel Ratcliff and Roxane Eibel. He is survived by: his wife Laura F. Ratcliff (L'Huillier); his children, Sarah Jane Zalar (Michael) and Michael James Ratcliff Jr. (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Adella Grace Zalar, Celeste Michelle Zalar, Meredith Evelyn Zalar and Ryan David Ratcliff.
