It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mother Catherine Copeland (Jackson, Michigan), born in Albion, Michigan, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Reddick, Sr. and Carrie Lee Reddick (Union); and her siblings, Myrtle Lee Reddick (Rogers), Eloise Reddick, Herbert Reddick, Jr., Willie D. Reddick, Lawrence Reddick, David Lee Reddick and Abraham Reddick (Avon).

She is survived by: her children, Linda Copeland, Rosie Chatman, Elaine McRae, Mohammad Abdul-Hakeem, Diane McMiller, Eric Copeland and Derrick Copeland, Sr.; her cousin Shirley Brown of Jackson, MI.; Ulysses Curtis. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and more than 20 great grandchildren.
