She is survived by: her former husband George Henry Steenhuysen; her children, Byron Jay and James Joel; her former husband Allan J. Short; her husband Sid; her children, Jay Steenhuysen (Karen), Julie Steenhuysen (Matt Gillespie) and Joe Steenhuysen (Roxane); her stepchildren, Kevin Chapman, Karen Llewellyn (Darren) and Kimberly Shaw (Steve); her grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, Sarah (Avery Echols), Megan, Macy (Troy Keizer), Claire (Ben Lee) and Kevin; her stepgrandchildren, Ava and Paul; her great grandchildren, Ollie, Cole and Eli; her sisters, Colleen Elaine Clanton and Edith Kathleen Dunckel (Darrell); her nephews, Jason, Jeff and Doug; and her niece Diann.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aware Shelter of Jackson for victims of domestic abuse or the Jackson Interfaith Shelter for the homeless.
