He was predeceased by: his parents, Toy Prater and Agie Prater (Watson); and his brother Robert Prater (Nadji). He is survived by: his wife Karen Prater (Merle); his children, Judy Thomas (Pete) of Stratford, Ontario and Daryl Prater of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Ryan, Sophie and Hailey; his sisters, Joan Herbst (Don) of Brighton and Karen Keirnan (Jerry) of Howell; and his cousin Ruth Craft.
