He was predeceased by: his parents, Kamel Abdelsayed Abdelmessiha and Zakia Girgis Shenoudah; and his siblings, Raouf Abdelsayed of Germany, Raifa Messiha of Naperville, Illinois, Raafat Kammel of Peabody and Renee Kamel of Minya, Egypt..
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Ruth (Hoyt); his children, Kari Kammel (Jason Ross) of Mason, Michigan, Elizabeth (Liz) and Kevin Kammel of Chicago, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Zaki Freese, Leonard Tilatti, Maxwell Tilatti and Mona Tilatti; his stepgrandchildren, Tirzah Ross and Evan Ross; his siblings, Ragaa Kamel of Cairo, Egypt, Rashad Kammiel (Rita) of New Jersey and Rogina Kammel of Texas; his siblings-in-law, Sonya Kammel of Massachusetts, Gisela Abdelsayed of Germany and Nagui Messiha of Illinois; Mark Hoyt (Hedwig), Sam Hoyt (Elaine), Tim Hoyt (Sue) and Marie DeNezza (Gene). He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, spouses and their children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Chapel - Jackson (2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Bethel Church (1691 Springport Rd, Jackson, MI 49202).
