He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Tappan and Edith Tappan Sr. (Wimer); and his brother Paul. He is survived by: his wife Judy Tappan (Grimm); his children, Jenny Hohman (Cameron), Rebecca Lavery, Edward Tappan (Susanne) and Kelli Furr (Josh Lewis); his grandchildren, Courtney Tappan, Brandon Tappan, Jessica Lavery, Joseph Lavery, Juniper Tappan and Miles Tappan; his great grandchild Alana Barnard; and his siblings, Claude Tappan, Val Carlson, Roy Tappan, Manetta Mohr and Chuck Tappan.
