He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rice and Dorothy Rice; his wife Linda; his in-laws, Josey and Barbara Bany; and his brother-in-law Bill Hughes.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick (Amy) and Todd (Wendi); his grandchildren, KayLynn, Hayden, Charles, Griffinn and Henry; his brothers, Ed and David (Penny); his siblings-in-law, Tim Bany (Janet) and Diane Hughes; and his friend Rick Corbin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Rick to the Richard F Smith Post 29 to support the Boys State Program or the American Legion Youth Baseball Program.
