He was predeceased by: his parents, Leila Snell (Chew) and Lyle Snell; and his grandparents, Raymond and Florence Heath. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Snell (Nesman); his children, Susan Gorman (Peter) and Laurie Schultz; his grandchildren, Katie Gorman, Madelaine and Meade Schultz; and his sister Wendy Carter (James). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Jackson First United Methodist Church or Rotary International in his memory.
