We announce the death of Robert William DeVore of Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 79. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard DeVore and Virginia DeVore; his granddaughter Carlie McFarland; and his great grandchild Alex Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann DeVore; his children, Wayne Long (Andera), Tersa Lawson and Christy Woods (Henry); his grandchildren, Ashley Thomas (Andrew), Dakota Long (Morgan), Austin Long (Adrianna), Morgan Veenstra (Kurt), Tammra Long, Katilyn Lape (Jack Old) and Timothy Devore (Bree Cash); and his siblings, Jerry DeVore (Vickie) and Dawn Lindsey. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vickers Leslie Funeral Home (109 Church St, Leslie, MI 49251). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
