He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E., Sr. and Mary Helen Hatt (Bickle); his brother Raymond Paul; and his grandparents, Winnie, Margaret Hatt, Elmer and Emma Bickle.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marcia King (Carl Poynter), Debby Wilburn (Jim) and Linda Weiss (Steve); his aunt Eileen Cheney; his cousin Jim Bammer; and his close friend Lawrence Ross. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
