It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert William Carlton of Jackson, Michigan, born in Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Kathryn Carlton. He is survived by: his children, Debra Kristen Hussey (Jay), Robert Bradley Carlton (Kristine) and Laura Steenrod (Dennis); and his grandchildren, Adam McClure (Tiffany), Kimberly McClure, Katherine Carlton Robinson (Matt), Allison Carlton Tucker (Jaymeson), Elissa Steenrod, Stacy Steenrod and Abigail Evanson (Carl). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

Robert also served on several Board of Directors including, United Way, JAMA, Goodwill, Jackson College Foundation, Spring Arbor University Business School, and the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
