He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera B. Betts and Leuis W. Betts; and his sister Sharon Sauer. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Marie Smith; his sister Carol Rodvold; his children, Chuck Betts, Kathryn Boyd, Nick Smith (Evelyn), Kip Smith (Tammie) and Elizabeth Ykimoff (Ted); his grandchildren, Shaun Betts, Tyler Betts, Brandon Smith, Tianna Smith, Alyse Tarbutton (Ben), Camron Smith, Lauren Ykimoff, Dylan Ykimoff (Emily), Austin Ykimoff (Sol), Allyson Ykimoff (Alex Guzman) and Emiley Adams; and his great grandchildren, Paisley, Remington, Rex, Maelynn, Jade, Theo, Leo and Lolo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cascades Humane Society as Papa was a lifelong lover of animals and particularly enjoyed visits from the cats and dogs during his final years.
