He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Anderson and Phyllis Baxter; his sister Linda Lee; and his great grandchild Raylyn Johnson. He is survived by: his brother Thomas Baxter; his daughters, Margo Lira, Stephanie Baxter, Jessica Baxter and Emily Baxter; and his son-in-law David Zawacki. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lauer Family Funeral Home (1035 Cooper St, Jackson, MI 49202). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
