Ruth Wackus Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Wackus of Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on August 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Caincross and Mae Caincross (Lyons); and her brothers, Max and Hugh Caincross. She is survived by: her children, Don Wackus (Teresa) of Jackson and Paula Sue Wackus of Mississippi; her grandchildren, Ethen, Zachary Winright, Heather Lamerand, Sarah Bojowski (Justin) and Fayth Wackus; and her siblings, Noah, Sam, Louis, Paul David Caincross, Barbara Drake, Sue Bellis and Rachel Cirrilo (Bob). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Viewing was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stark Funeral Home (101 S Washington St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
