We announce the death of Sandra Baxter (Jackson, Michigan), who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 75. Sandra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Sandra will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Sandra will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Sandra’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Ed, Ray and Shirley. She is survived by: her husband Larry Baxter; her sons, Michael Baxter (Dawn) and Rick Baxter (Amanda); her brother Cornelius Butler; and her brother-in-law David Baxter. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Chapel - Jackson (2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49203). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sandstone Church of Christ (424 S Sandstone Rd, Jackson, MI 49201). A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at the Spring Arbor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to the Sandstone Church of Christ, 424 South Sandstone Road, Jackson, Michigan.
