She was predeceased by: her parents, William Asselin, and Anna Asselin, Sr. (Massa); her husband William Shannon; and her brother Dr. William Asselin, Jr. of Norway, MI.. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Darlene Asselin (Arnoldi); and her nieces-in-law, Sharon Polensek (Robert) of Chattanooga, TN and Holly Vance (Scott) of Ocala, FL..
Ultimately, as part of her role as Principal and Director of the Child Life Department in Mott Children's Hospital, she served as a liaison between Child Life and the Kiwanis of Michigan Forney W. Clement Foundation.
