She was predeceased by: her parents, Clare Fleming and Mary Jane Fleming; her sisters, Mary Beth Sayre and Jane "Missy" Maki; and her grandchildren, Seth Bristow and Susannah Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Anderson (Scott), Jill Shaughnessy, Joe Shaughnessy (Joan) and Jenifer Smith; her grandchildren, Jessica Shaughnessy, Amanda Knutson (Topio), Trey Shaughnessy, Bryce Shaughnessy (Megan Minix), Savannah Rogers (Zach), Jameson Anderson (Bri Lowry), Ronan Smith and Toryn Smith; and her great grandchildren, A'nyah Shaughnessy and Tate Rogers. She is also survived by seven siblings.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cascades Manor House (1970 Kibby Rd, Jackson, MI 49203).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who knew Susie take their own families to dinner and raise a glass in her memory.
