She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mathis and Lola Lee Mathis (Spates); her siblings, Dorothy Tanner, Rose Wraggs and Raymond Mathis; her children, Karen Mathis and Jerry Briston; and her grandchildren, William (Geno), Michael Perdue and Heather Mathis.

She is survived by: her children, Kim Perdue, Marsha Mathis, Jeffrey Briston (Betty), Lola Briston, Jason Briston (Pam) of Jackson, Marlene Johnson of Orlando, Joey Briston, Kevin Briston (Michelle), Kenneth Briston of Jackson and Mona Dailey of Killeen, Texas. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and friends.
