He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Summers and Mildred Summers (Brinkman); his brother David; and his brother-in-law Donald Keene. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Summers; his children, Christine Diehl, Thomas Summers (Rie) and Tessie Gill (Phil); his grandchildren, Sarah Summers, Lisa Hirasawa (Daiki), Joseph Diehl, Gina Diehl, Melinda Williams (Wayne), Philbert Gill, Thomas Gill and Elisabeth Gill; and his siblings, Karen Keene and Michael Summers (Virginia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
