He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Gibson and Pearl Brown McKenzie; his great grandchild Lexus Brown; his stepsons, Billy Allen and Timothy Allen; his sister Donna Gibson; and his half-siblings, Ruby Piepkow, Mary Bibler, JoAnne Bieske and Paul McKenzie.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Gibson; his children, Sherry Wojnas, Karen Vansickle (Terry) and Walter Gibson Jr. (Crystal); his stepchildren, Stephen Allen (Heather) and Melody Gibbs; and his siblings, Chester "Chet" Gibson (Lora) and Maggie Holbrook (Junior). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.
