The memory of Marlene Burrow-Cates of Jasper, Michigan, who passed away on December 5, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hervey A. Knierim and Margaret Knierim (Rinehart); her former husband Hershel Burrow; her husband John Billy Cates; her granddaughter Lisa Gritzmaker; her great grandchild Abigail Gritzmaker; and her brothers, Darrell and Gary Knierim.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Burrow (Tricia) and Mark Burrow; her stepdaughters, Diane, Debbie and Ann; her grandchildren, Jessie (Nate), Amber (Brent), Bret (Nicole) and Stephanie; her great grandchildren, Chaise, Alicia Reel, Brady, Leslie, Mariah, Lexi Burrow, Alyssa Curtis, Nathan Bugbee and Autumn Gritzmaker; and her great great grandchildren, Cooper and Matthew Reel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home (3050 W Beecher Rd, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 4830 E Weston Rd, Blissfield, MI 49228. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Zion Cemetery (6790 E Horton Rd, Blissfield, MI 49228).
Memorial contributions in Marlene's memory may be made to the Zion United Brethren Church or to Hospice of Lenawee.
