We bid farewell to Evelyn Wright of Jenison, Michigan, born in Marvell, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 23, 2024 at the age of 81. Evelyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She is survived by : her children, Lecia Renee Wright Battle and Jeffrey Keith Wright; her granddaughter Mary Tanecia Battle; her former life partner Samuel Wright; her friends, Thelma, Elaine, Don and Darcy; her half-sister Norma Jean Boyd (Curtis); and her siblings, Joe Lewis Lackey, Moszie Lee Williams (Bob) and Pearlie Mae Minor. She is also survived by foster children; and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
