Though Gordon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gordon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Terry Lee Coates. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Coates; his children, John Coates, Bill Coates, Mark Coates, Paul and Gayle Coates; and his grandchildren, Crystal Coates, Marcus Coates, Nathan Coates and Kyle Coates. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
