He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Hanko; his parents, Reverend Cornelius Hanko and Jennie Hanko; his parents-in-law, John and Nellie Knoper; his siblings, Fred Hanko, Elaine Bos, Florence Bouwkamp and Don Knoper; and his nibling Adrian Hanko.
He is survived by: his children, Rev. Ronald Hanko (Nancy), Neal Hanko (Jeanne), Kenneth Hanko (Mary), Steven Hanko (Beverly), Marcia Miersma (Carlyle), Timothy, Sharon Kleyn (Daniel) and Karen Van Baren (Philip). He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 79 great grandchildren.
