He is survived by: his children, Kendall Smoes (Jesse) and Joshua Hewitt; his fiancée Leah DeLano; his fiancée's child Casey DeLano; his mother Donna Hewitt; and his siblings, Richard Hewitt and Debra Hewitt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; numerous close friends and neighbors.
