She was predeceased by: her son-in-law Fred Wals. She is survived by: her husband Charles Westers (Chuck); and her children, Rick Westers (Pennie), Debbie Trevino (Tony), Susi Wals (late Fred), Sally Lucas (Tim) and Scott Westers (Becky). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren with three more on the way; sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Community Church (2340 Dean Lake Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
