It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Datema of Jenison, Michigan, who passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Marcia Datema; his parents, Louis Datema and Jessie Datema; his sister Barb; and his brother-in-law Harvey Mast.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Datema; his children, Shari, Mike Brookhouse, Thomas and Sheri Datema; his grandchildren, Alisha, Jim Martinus, Grant, Rachel Brookhouse, Luke, Hannah Datema and Spencer Datema (Taylor Scheidel); his great grandchildren, Harrison, Eloise, Micah Martinus, Tanner and McKayla Brookhouse; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry, Joyce Yntema, Jerald, Patricia VandenBerg, Anita and Richard Boss. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
