He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Malfroid; his son Dan Malfroid; his stepson Bruce VanDyke; his parents, Elmer Malfroid and Lilly Malfroid; and his siblings, Jerry Malfroid, Phyliss Jacobsen and Marilyn Niewick.
He is survived by: his children, Sheri Patterson (Mike), Rebecca Kenney (Robert), Christofer Malfroid and Amy Wirtz (Dave); his stepchildren, Margo Solomon, Beth VanDyke (Chuck), Michelle Bouman and Brian VanDyke; and his brothers, Kenneth Malfroid and John Malfroid. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
