He is survived by: his children, Eric Mys (Susan), John Michael Scherff and Michelle Davis (George); his grandchildren, Mallory Mys (Andrew Strabbing), Nicole Mys, Maaike (Andrew Sibner) and Adi Scherff; and his siblings, Richard Mys (Sherry), Lee Mys (Susan), Gladys Van Tuinen and Sidney Mys.
