He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Anzaldua and Loretta Anzaldua (Lopez); his grandson Collin Schaub; and his brothers, Joe Anzaldua and Reynaldo Anzaldua.

He is survived by: his wife Julene; his daughters, Christi Anzaldua (Lee Schaub), Elizabeth Anzaldua-Teunissen (Mike), Katie Korhorn (Keith), Veronica Anzaldua (John Maccarone), Lynn Dawson (Tim) and Mary Elizabeth Valdez-Lopez (Octavio T. Lopez); his sisters, Margarite Jenkins and Rosa Moya; his siblings-in-law, Charlie Roark and Judy Cooley; and his close friend Dominic Marsiglia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
