She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Baker and Henrietta Fox (Baker); her son Ricky J. Smit; her granddaughter Sarah Kaper; her brother Wayne Baker; and her siblings-in-law, Ken Smit, Len Smit, John Woltjer and Lenora Smit.
She is survived by: her children, Ron (Cheri Smit), Jan (Kris Kaper), Joanne (Randy Teesdale) and Rodger (Kathy Smit); her grandchildren, Nick (Lisa), Cody (Jenny), Eric, Luke, Jeremiah and Allison; and her sisters-in-law, Henrietta Wiltjer, Mary Smit and Greta Baker. She is also survived by three step grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
