He was predeceased by: his parents, James Haverdink and Alice Haverdink; his wife Frances Rillema; his brother Carl Haverdink; and his siblings-in-law, Lee Schild and Jan Haverdink.
He is survived by: his children, Arlyss VanEerden (Rog), Kirk Haverdink (Kim), Karla Styf (Brian) and Carmen VanNoord (Doug); his grandchildren, Margo Rhoderick (Chad), Justin VanEerden (Melissa), Tyler VanEerden (Michelle), Nate Haverdink, Amber Grice (Kyle), Kylie Haverkamp (Jared), William Styf (Brianna), Jennie Teijen (Andrew), Emma VanOss (Brice), Tyce VanNoord (Kelsey), Sydney Langeland (Anthony) and Kade VanNoord (Makayla); his siblings, Marian Schild, Ken Haverdink (Cheryl), Gord Haverdink, Barb Peuler (Bill) and Audrey Palmitier (Randy); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Haverdink and Harley Rillema. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baldwin St. Christian Reformed Church (2101 Baldwin St, Jenison, MI 49428). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church (2101 Baldwin St, Jenison, MI 49428).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church Mission Fund.
