She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Bernstein and Martha Bernstein (Hewlett); her husband Gilbert "Gil" Bartell; and her sisters, Virginia Drake (George) and Myrna Bernstein.

She is survived by: her children, Sue Horton (Larry) of Hillsdale, Mark Bartell (Renee) of Beuelah and Fred Bartell (Margaret) of Holiday Isle, Arkansas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jonesville First Presbyterian Church or the American Diabetes Association.
