Shirley leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Shirley’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Shirley will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Carr and Lulu Carr (Nettleman); her husband James Hacker; and her former husband James Hayes. She is survived by: her sons, Rickey Hayes of Jonesville and Douglas Hayes of Jonesville. She is also survived by four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel (403 S Main St, Reading, MI 49274). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or Elara Caring Hospice.
