She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Nicholson and Bonnie Nicholson (Neidlinger); her children, Richard M. and Susan D. Sokolowski; and her siblings, Roland Nicholson and Linda Winsdischmann.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard; her children, Wendy Hamming (Scott), Tracie Wolthuis (Jeff), Mike Sokolowski (Jackie) and Al Sokolowski (Tammy); and her grandchildren, Heather Gibson (Jason), Danelle Drake (Cam), Katie Doorlag (Phil), Jolie Sportel (Kevin), Brett Sokolowski (Stephanie), Travis Sokolowski (Caralee), Troy Sokolowski, Haleigh Sokolowski, Emily Sokolowski, Brandon Disher and Nicholas Disher. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes - Westside Chapel (3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009).
