She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Cekola and Rose Cekola (Capitano); her husband John C. Holmes; her daughter Lisa Holmes; and her siblings, Pauline Cekola and Joe Cekola.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Holmes (Joanne) of Ohio, Thomas Holmes (Patti) of Three Rivers, Susan Riksen of Kalamazoo, Paula Brindley (Bryan) of Mattawan, John Holmes of Kalamazoo, Julie Grunert (Mike) of Florida and Mark Holmes (Patty) of Florida; her siblings, Mary Bubelis (Vic) of Illinois, Janet Paynter of Kalamazoo, George Cekola (Melinda) of Kalamazoo, Rita Grinsell of California and Rose Osten (John) of California; and her sister-in-law Dee Cekola of Kalamazoo. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
