She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bert Cripe and Marlita Williams; her husband Charles VanDeLaare; and her sons, Dean VanDeLaare (Lori Jo), Dale VanDeLaare and Doug VanDeLaare (Vonda).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services - Westside (3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park (3941 S Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008).
