Afton and Ella Mae Afton (Kenney); his siblings, Harold, Aurelia Bills (Earl), Agnes Rivett (Robert) and Patricia Thumser (Paul); his children, Penny Sage, Clifford J., Jeffery (Kris) and Russell (Deb); his grandchildren, Randy Sage (Dana), Whitney, Heather Chapman (Jake), Cortney Afton, Nick (Lindsey), Phillip, Katherine, Michael and Elizabeth Afton; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Eden Chapman, Anya Chapman, Charlotte, and Maggie. Erica Mudry and the Kalkaska Eagles were very important in his life.
