Jean Ellen Long Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Ellen Long of Kalkaska, Michigan, who passed away on May 25, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Angel and Zelma Angel; her former husband Henry "Jack" Joseph Minder, Sr.; and her siblings, Donna, Paul, Larry, Jack, Parris and Loretta.
She is survived by: her husband John Long; her children, Jack Minder (Kathy) of Kalkaska, Tim Minder of Kalkaska, Lorie Losee (Scott) of Kalkaska, Shirley Harger (Todd) of Kalkaska and Dan Minder of Kalkaska; her grandchildren, Jessica Minder, Jack Minder, Nichol Minder, Ashley Minder, Lacey Laforest and McAylan Minder; her siblings, David Angel, Judy Wiegand, William Angel and Charles Angel; and her pet Benny. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Jean's honor may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
