He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Sturgis and Amanda Sturgis (Weichner); and his sister Betty Henry. He is survived by : his wife Doris Timlick; his children, Darrell Sturgis (Kathie) of Spring Lake and Cheryl Downey (Mike) of Charlevoix; his grandchildren, Melissa Quinlan (Lance) of Grant, Jennifer Downey (Jesua Ramirez Mejia) of Monterrey and Adam Callis (Jennifer) of Cary; and his brother Robert Sturgis of Lennon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
